Crowds in late June/early July?

We went 2 years ago during the same time. I remember it being very very hot and the crowds were tough - but the fast passes will get you through the lines quickly. And if you bring your own water bottle fan - you'll make it through. Take advantage of the resort pools and the water parks - they are the best at those times. Not to mention the Kilimenjaro (sp?) raft ride at Animal Kingdom!!!!

I also like going to Disney around this time. The parks are open late and the crowds are usually filled with people ecstatic with the wonder of Disney and they're pretty pleasant!

Have a blast!

Let's put it this way, when we have friends or relatives come visit us during June or July and plan a day at DW and ask us to come along....we tell them to enjoy their trip and we'll see them when they get back to the house.

Oh dear - we'll be down from June 25th through July 2nd. I was hoping to beat the worst of the crowds, as DH will already be losing it in the heat. We've never gone down except in the winter value seasons - no crowds, no heat!

Oh well - more reason to plan a November trip soon!

We were at MK last July 4th, and it was very crowded! As it gets closer to the 4th, the park crowds will increase in size and it becomes difficult sometimes to just move around or find a place to sit. I beleive on that day, they closed the park (MK) to all guests at around 12-1:00pm, because they max'd out the parks capacity. Your ticket only guarantees you admission to "a Disney park", so my advice to you is go to another park that day, and enjoy. If you just must watch the special fireworks display at MK, then I would go the the 15th fl. at CR, and watch it there from the viewing platform. Have a fun time. My wife and I are arriving on 7/7 for a week, alone, celebrating our 30th anniv. We can't wait.

Like CRCrazy, we are also going 6/25 through 7/2. (Just like we did last year, and the trip before that, etc). We DO NOT let things like weather or longer lines get to us. We take advantage of EE when we can, we plan our days ahead of time, we return to our resort for a mid day break, we use FP as much as possible, and we adapt, improvise and overcome. This is the only time of year we can get to WDW and we make the best of it. Looking forward to our next visit in a couple of weeks.

We always go the last week in June and this year it will be July 2-12. Using EE is key to enjoying your time in the parks. The only time I can say last year taht was unbearably hot was at 3;00 waiting for the start of the MK parade. Otherwise we weren't in the parks midday!!! As far as crowds, our kids 6 and 3 at the time never complained about waits, although we used EE and FP every day for big attratctions.

A definite plus is the extended hours. I can't imagine going when parks closse at 6 or 7. What do you do in the evenings???

You will have a GREAT TIME!!! ENJOY!!!

jimmalru80 ~ I LOVE your attitude! :p

~ and I couldn't agree w/you more! We are also going the last week of June. Yes, everyone says it will be HOT & humid, and the lines will be so LONG. But, o.k. we know that stuff ahead of time so when we get there we won't be surprised or disappointed. We'll be on vacation!! :Pinkbounc

I won't have to work, cook, or clean! Woohoo!
Have a great time everyone!

We'll be there next summer(6/28/04 to 7/10/04) because that's the only time we can vacation too. I couldn't care less how hot or how crowded it will be,I'll be there at WDW celebrating my 50th b'day!!

airhead(Bring it on!!!)

This is my first post, so yay me...but my husband and I are heading out in thirteen days and will be there June 27 to July 5th. We've never been this time of year, but like you say, YOU ARE ON VACATION!! WOO WEE! I can't wait. My motto is a day at Disney is better than ANY day ANYWHERE else. So go...have a great time and just enjoy yourself!:earsgirl:

We will also be there 6/29-7/5 and can't wait! Since we know there are crowds and lines, we're prepared. It seems like there are crowds and lines no matter where you go these days. I went to the mall today and it was PACKED (like shopping at Christmas)! We've got hot weather here, so we're used to that. And, if I've got to stand in line, deal with crowds, and put up with hot weather - I'd much rather be doing it a MK! Woooo Hoooo!!:bounce:

I have been to WDW when they have closed the park due to it reaching capacity. The parks are very crowded. We went in August one year the parks were crowded and it was extremely hot, but it was not that bad.

We took advantage of EE and would only stay at the parks till 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon. Then we would go back and relax at the resort and do some swimming. We would go back to the parks in the late evenings. Doing this made the crowds and heat bearable.

Hope this helps.
