I'm considering surprising my dd with a trip to universal for her 16th birthday but I'm very concerned with the crowds in the middle of July. It will be a mid week trip but since its summer that probably won't help to much

Any suggestions or tips? 3 out of the 5 of us are fair skinned so that will be a problem too:scratchin. But I think this could be a great memory making trip if we do it rightpixiedust:

The best suggestion is to book a night onsite. This will give you two fulls days of early admission and unlimited express. Your waits in line will be short and you can ride whatever ride you want whenever you want.

July this year will be very busy with the opening of Transformers and the new Springfield area.

Oh no. I completely forgot about the new transformers:headache: really we will be concentrating on the Harry potter part. Shoot. It's hard to decide if it will be worth the trip

Having a room onsite to go back to midday will certainly help. You could swim, nap, read or whatever during the hottest part of the day and then return later in the evening. Both parks will be super busy this year and having Express access will be invaluable.

Could not agree more. We went to US a month after the WWoHP opened, it was a zoo. Staying on site made it totally worth it. Staying on site will let you go an hour early to WWoHP, great location to take a break during the worst of the July heat and crowds and the unlimited express pass--worth every penny!

We hit WWoHP during the early entry hour and then tour the rest of IoA at our leisure, using the EP as needed. Even in July we did not wait in the EP line for more than 5-10 min...even when the Hulk regular line was 90min.

Rip-Ride-Rockit does not have an EP line, so that is a good one to hit early. Not sure if Transformers will or will not have an EP line, but I imagine that will be very busy as well.

Touring in July is doable, just get there early and use your EP whenever possible.
