Hi All

We visited WDW this past Jan. from the 20th to the 29th and had a great time and the crowds were small. I didn't think we could go back again this soon but it looks like we are able to go again in Jan.
I know that there is the half marathon in Jan and also MLK weekend but besides those 2 events what will the crowds be like the first 2 weeks in Jan? If we go the first 2 weeks we still have a annual pass for room discounts and park admission. Will the crowds be very prohibitive during the weekdays? Are the crowds at the parks those weekends huge? I would almost rather have to spend the extra then deal with big crowds if it is better to wait.

Thanks again Dave

From everything I've read, this is a very uncrowded time. Steer clear of MLK weekend and you should be fine. I don't think the marathon crowd affects waiting times for attractions very much.

Great time of year to visit, especially crowd-wise. The first week in Jan, we were surrounded by Europeans and South Africans, maybe their holiday is longer than in the US. Not at all crowded, just cold some days--pack sweatshirts and gloves! Even Marathon weekend isn't crowded, just avoid driving around WDW the morning of the marathon. Enjoy.

January is like a ghost town...... well no not really I guess... we went fron the 7th to the 14th.. We got to Magic Kingdom at about 10 and there was not a SINGLE person in frontier land... we walked on almost every ride it was almost annoying because I scheduled everything expecting lines.... But it was fun cause we repeated some stuff over and over again... and the weather was 70's!

Our family will only go 3 times a year. Being Florida native though make it easier though.

Our times are- September/October- Crowds are smaller and the weather is cooler.

January- Again crowds are smaller and weather is lovely. Plus we celebrate our anniversary there every year.

March- Not a particularly good time of year, but we go to celebrate my DS8 birthday. We have been going every year since he was 3.It is more crowded but it is worth it to spend time with the family.

Will not go during Christmas time or summer time.

We'll be there MLK weekend ... I'm hoping the crowds are not too bad. We usually go in July, so it's gotta be better. Any idea on the crowd levels for that weekend?

We're going the 29th Jan-7th Feb. We already made our arrangements with Shades of Green, and we're looking forward to it. I'm hoping the crowds are light that week.
