I just recently made a ressie for the first week in August at WL. I reviewed Expedia before I made my reservation and there seemed to be a lot of availability at all WDW hotels. When I called CRO they said there was availability for any type of room at WL, even standard view which usually sells out quickly since it is the lowest price.
I have been to WDW before in January, the last week of April, early November and Christmas week.
Of course crowds at Christmas were horrible. The last week of April was not too bad, and in January and November, there were hardly any lines at all.
How bad will the crowds be in the first week of April? Based on the hotel situation, it seems they will not be too bad at all, but I have read that summer can have some of the largest crowds (not as bad as Christmas of course). Is the hotel availability misleading?
Does anyone have experience with early August that can fill me in on what level of crowds I can expect in comparison to the other times of the year that I have visited?

Maybe just Maybe the crowds will be smaller than expected

Maybe the free dining swayed folks towards later in the month
We can always hope can't we!
