We have planned a trip for Feb 23-27. How are the crowds during that time. I see that it is peak season, but cant see how the crowds would be that bad in Feb with schools in and no real holidays around that time.

just back from 10 day trip (feb 26- mar 8)
the last week of feb was considerably less crowded than the first week of mar.

We were there from the 8th till the 22nd and by the 15th you could hardly move compared to the beginning of the trip. I will never go there past Valentine's day again.

I hate crowds:mad: The first week we were there it was greatbut shhhhhh don't tell anyone.;)

It slows down after Presidents' Day week until the Spring Breaks start in March. You should be okay.

We were there for the first time ever in Feb - the 25 - March 2. Although the weather was a bit icky it did not matter - no crowds, no waits, quiet - and I was with my 11 year old who thought he owned the Yacht Club and the Boardwalk - it was divine!!!!!!! I just wish we could always visit at this time but with school restraints it will get tougher and toughter. The YC was on 24% occupied. Its a great time to visit.

We have gone the last number of years the last week of Feb. We have NEVER had bad crowds. Most rides are walkon and E tickets can be around 30 minutes. TT is somewhat longer but not bad. I think it's a great time year to go.

we just returned from our february trip a few weeks ago (sob, sob) and found it to be wonderful! we arrived on the 6th and the crowds were almost nonexistent until valentines's day. from then on, like samantha said, it was definitely more crowded, but not unmanageable. we did go to mgm on the 7th and ran into a huge crowd, the cheerleaders i think, so we left and went to epcot.

overall, the weather wasn't bad. it rained off and on the first few days, with temps in the low 60's, but we were comfortable in jeans and tee's. the rain let up on monday and it got into the low-mid 70's. we were in the pool, which is heated, quite a bit.

i wouldn't hesitate to go again in february, but were gonna try november this time because i just can't wait!

and there were no crowds at all. I think the longest wait we had for anything was about 5-10 minutes and most attractions were walk-on. We stayed at POFQ and were told the resort was only at 30% capacity. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a river view room which was very nice. We also had a nice week weather-wise with most days being sunny and near 80.

We were there Feb 22-Mar 1. The parks were more crowded looking than I expected them to be, yet the lines were short. The longest wait we had was 45 mins for the Peter Pan ride but this was without a Fast Pass and I think the ride may have been broken for awhile. Tower of Terror was only about a 10-15 min wait as was the Dinosaur and Buzz Lightyear rides. We talked to some of the other guests and it appears that the week after President's Day some of the secondary schools in the Boston and New Hamshire area have their Winter Break. The weather was much warmer than we expected and we had to buy short sleeved shirts and shorts while we were there. It also rained towards the end of our trip.

Did all of you who were just there in late feb (last week that ran into March) pay peak rates? We have always travelled in Feb and never paid peak rates, but seems disney has changed it "seasons" as when looking for Feb 2004 it says mid-feb to late april is all peak now. You would think with the low capacity %'s they would be offering lower rates to get people to come.

Did you book at peak rates and then get some discounts, or were you stuck with peak rates? Thanks for the info...

Sorry, can't reply to your question about peak rates. We ended up buying a week in a 1-bedroom at OKW for $900 off the DVC rent trade board here. It was a last minute trip and before I found that deal, the cheapest on-site rate I found was $89 for All Stars. I was afraid we were going to have to stay off-site using Priceline.
