crowds in early Jan?

Anyone been to WDW in early Jan? How are the crowds? I see that it is "value" season starting Jan. 1 I am itching to go again, after a "once in a lifetime" trip in Feb. of 2004, and a trip to Disneyland Paris in March of 2005. I know DH is not ready for another, so maybe Jan. 2007. Our kids get a long break, we would need to leave the USA around Jan 10. Any advice...for my early planning would be greatly appreciated!

We went Jan 1-5 this year. First and 2nd were very crowded, after that it wasn't bad at all. Great time of year to go. We are going back this coming January 1-8.
