crowds in december

hi,
I am about to book a holiday for either 5th of dec for 2 weeks or 28th nov for 2 weeks, what are the crowds like this time of year and will the xmas celebrations have started [have been a couple of times b4 but not at xmas,and this time we have a 4yr old son to bring too so should be extra special]. any tips would be very gratefully recieved.

Hi andy,Im in Uk too Ive just booked for Dec 5 2003 too! Ive been before too and we want to take our 2 dds 10/8 at this time of year because the Christmas decs etc is an added bonus other reasons the crowds are at lowest of year weather is not scorching but to us in UK is verryyy nice!
Apparently Christmas decs start going up the day after thanksgiving! Ive done a lot of research in going at this time of year im really looking forward to it,I dont know where your booking but I booked VIRGINONLINE £400 cheaper than going places and Virgins a class company,CYA IAN

My vote is for November 28 for 2 weeks. We were there this year the Monday after Thanksgving and there was practically no one there! We never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride with the exception of Big Thunder which was about 25 minutes. Didn't even have to use fastpass with Test Track.

As far as decorations, it was beautiful! We toured the resorts and they were decorated as well. If you are planning to attend the MMVCP, this is a great week to do that as well. There was hardly anyone there......

Not sure what the following week was like, but the first full week after was great! Cancelled our upcoming May trip and scheduled for this week again.

Have to agree with KLAIT

We have been to WDW 2x the 1st week of December and the crowds are minimal - Holiday decorations are up in every park and every resort - plus there is the Osborne Family Spectacle of lights at MGM and as stated before Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party - where you purchase a separate ticket and they sell a set # of these for each night they have it and its usually from 7pm-12am with fireworks - Xmas parade, family photos - all the best rides you can basically walk on to - special Xmas shows - its why yesterday I just booked our vacation for Nov 29th - Dec 6th 2003.
Its the best time to be at WDW!!
