Okay, I picked these days some time ago because I thought I would be able to enjoy the Christmas season at disney without the huge crowds. Now I am getting conflicting reports from different sources. The UG and the Passporter shows the crowds coming in about the time I am leaving. However, Tourguide Mike says the crowds get to be huge by Dec. 18th. Can anyone give me some input on this? At this point I am stuck with the days I have. I had a great time last year in mid Oct. We did the MNSSHP twice and my kids still talk about it. I was hoping to have a similar trip this year during the Christmas season. We are doing the MVMCP on the 18th. Possibly on the 16th, but thought Friday night was a bad idea. Oh well, I guess we will have a good time no matter what size the crowds are.

We arrive on the 15th and leave on the 23rd. I am hoping that the real crowds don't start until the 21st. There was a thread on one of the boards about when the Christmas school breaks were this year. Most weren't getting out until 12/21 quite a few weren't getting out until Friday the 23rd (here's hoping!) Our plans are to get as much done on the first few days and then just take it easy and enjoy the atmosphere the rest of the week. Don't forget to buy your MVMCP tickets. You can actually make PS/ADR now for LTT, CP, and Tony's for the dates of the party.

The UG Best Days site shows that the crowds will continue to build. I trust them. I also can say that we were there in 2003 and noticed that the evening of the Thursday before Christmas was the beginning of the crowds. Friday was just too much for us and we won't even discuss what Saturday was like. Now, also keep in mind that we like value season and low crowd touring. We do not do crowds well....well it's more Gabby's issue than mine, but that's another story. Our trip has us arriving this year on Sunday the 11th and leaving on Saturday the 17th. We will tour heavily early in the week and try to make Friday as laid back as possible. Good luck. Maggie

For the past six Decembers I have visited Disney.
It has been my experience that the first two weeks of the month are glorious.
Light crowds and full holiday experience.
The crowds move in as that third week begins.
Sometimes with Magic Kingdom reaching maximum attendance by the middle of the month.
Best of luck.
