I am a bit worried about the crowds picking up on Veteran's Day and then through Friday (11/12). Then I've heard that some area schools will be in session on Veteran's Day due to all the missed days from the storms. Anyone???

Interesting question and hypothesis regarding the storms.

We we will be there then as well, should be interesting what the experts say about how busy it will be.

I am wondering the same thing. We will arrive on Veteran's Day and would like to go to MK on Friday the 12th. Am wondering if the MK will be extra crowded that day because it is a potential four day weekend for many???

Just going by last year's experience, MK does tend to be more crowded on Veteran's Day than the other parks. Keep in mind also that weekend is the last weekend of F&W and you are also contending with Super Soap Weekend at MGM. I would expect the crowds to pick up. I will be among the masses at MK on Veteran's Day since it is my DS's birthday and that is where he wants to spend it.

We are doing the Disney cruise Sunday through Thursday this week. We plan to arrive in Disney World on Thursday, November 11, and stay through Sunday, November 14. Which parks should we do on which days? What are your suggestions?

Jersey Week is the previous week. The few suggestions I can give is probably to avoid MK on Veteran's Day. MK is supposedly bad on the weekends. That weekend it might actually not be too bad with Super Soap happening at MGM and F&W final weekend happening at Epcot. Maybe someone else has better suggestions?

Veterans Day seems to have become so popular that AP rates were blacked out for that weekend!

We'll be there too (11/9-11/14)! I have MK planned for Thurs.,which is Vets day and our off day as Friday (maybe we'll need it after fighting crowds!). We are used to August crowds, but will be going with my S&BIL who have not been there in years and are assuming this time of year will be less crowded:( My family is of the mind-set that we can 'skip it for this trip', but I'm starting to feel the pressure of having to show our guests all the must-dos!
