Hi everyone- I'm new to this forum so I apologize if I'm not posting this question to the right place! My family is planning a trip to Disney next May, and we are beginning to plan our first day in MK. We're hoping to to get a much-coveted Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party reservation for the fireworks, but have heard that there is not a great view of MSEP from the terrace. If the fireworks are at 10 that night and the parade is at 11, should we head immediately to main street after the dessert party to stake out a spot for the parade, or will we be able to go on another ride before meandering over? I'm trying to get a sense of whether we can just walk up and see the late parade reasonably well right before it begins or whether we will still need to find a spot 30-40 minutes beforehand.
Thanks so much for your advice! :)

The safer option is to go directly to Main Street to stake out a spot. Even for the later parade, Main Street is a popular choice for viewing MSEP.

And, :welcome:!

I would sit at the dessert party for about 10-15 minutes after wishes is over to let the mass exodus thin out a bit. Everyone and their mother leaves right after wishes, so mainstreet and the hub will be a giant mess for about 10-15 minutes after wishes. Then stroll over to main street or the hub and get your spots for the parade. for the 2nd viewing, there should be plenty!

Thank you both very much for your responses! We will plan to wait a few minutes and then just head right over to Main Street :)

Head over to frontierland and watch it with almost no crowds! We did this last year and it was wonderful!
