The new Unofficial Guide scale is now rating the week BEFORE President's Day week as 6's, 7's, and one 8. (we're planning on Feb 10-17, Pres Day is Feb 20). We picked this week b/c everything I had previously read said that before President's Week was one of the best times to go. Now I'm concerned! :confused3

Should we move our trip to January 27-Feb 2 to avoid the crowds? We'll have a toddler along, so we really want to avoid long wait times, but it going 2 weeks earlier really going to make a difference?

Any help would be really appreciated! I'm seriously fretting over this! :sad2:

We chose the same week for the same reason and since this was our second change I'm sticking with it. I refuse to start the planning all over again!

We went Jan 28-Feb 6th this year, no crowds whatsoever........except for the last day the 6th was the first day of the Cheerleading competitions. Check www.varsity.com for the 2006 dates of the National Cheerleading/Dance etc...championships. I think there are 3 separate competitions during Jan and Feb...we went between 2 of the competitions and avoided the crowds...

We were at WDW the week before President's week this year. It was fine until Thursday. Just make sure you get in your MK days before that. We went to the MK on Tuesday and Wednesday and the waits were minimal. The crowds really picked up on Thursday and were pretty crowded the rest of the week. The weather this year was glorious and we had a wonderful trip!

Would love to, but even thought my husband and I are arriving Feb 6 my kids and grandchildren won't be there untul Wed. Feb 15.

We went to WDW Feb. 2 -9th. We had Mardi Gras, Daytona 500, and the superbowl going on down there at the same time! That was why it was so crowded last year. This year there is nothing (I hope) going on at that time. The first few days it was great, not crowded... Then we could not even find a spot to watch any of the fireworks or parades. I am hoping that it will be a slow season again in Feb.!!! OK, let me say it again... It is very busy in Feb. so DO NOT go to WDW Feb. 8-15th!!! Stay home.. They are going to have a freek snow/ice/hail/toronado/hurricane season the second week of Feb.!!! I am only saying this for your own good!! STAY HOME!!! :flower: :wave2:

We went to WDW this year the week before Presidents' Week and we thought it was great. The longest line I stood in the whole time was at the Avis counter at MCO to pick up our car. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and the car rental counters were packed. I stood in line an hour at Avis and the Alamo line was twice as long - it was unbelievable.

The weather was perfect. Warm and sunny everyday. We went home on Thursday, so I can't say about the crowds after that, but we thought the crowds were fine. I hope to go again next year.

Have fun

We went the weekend before Presidents Day weekend in 2004, Feb 6-8. We had seasonal passes and visited many different times. I remember being shocked at how crowded MK was. By noon it was unreal. We were thankful we got there at opening and had done enough to leave by 2. We never figured out why it was so crowded either.

we've gone Feb.2-10th before and also last week in Jan. both are great times..i preferred the 1st week of feb. the weather was perfect and small to no lines. imo..you get more for your $$ because yo can see and do more. as far as president's week, i;ve never been there at that time and i think some rates go up around there too.
