We are looking at going to DLR one of the first 2 weekends in March. Wed-Mon type of trip. Just wondering what crowds are like those two weekends. I know that since Easter is in Mid-April that many schools have shifted their spring breaks to April, but does anyone know what early March looks like. Weather infor would be helpful as well. Thanks for any information!!

Also wanted to ask about crowds on those Sat Sun.

We're going the first week of March, and from what I've read spring breaks usually start around the 10-13th or March, and go through mid April... so hopefully it shouldn't be too crowded

OUR FAMILY IS GOING mON-wED March 13-15. Hopefully it won't be too busy. I never thought about spring break dates. I believe temps should be lo to mid 70's daytime, probably 50's at night. :confused3

Just wanted to bump this up to see if anyone else had any ideas. Our dates are pretty firm to be Mar 2-7.

Those dates are slightly before spring break. However the hotels are still pretty full for this time of year. Its not going to be summer, peak season busy, but you wont be alone in the parks either! You can sort of judge what Disney is expecting based on park hours and entertainment schedules. Long hours and full schedules mean they are expecting larger crowds.

We are going March 9-13.

We will be there March 15-17. Hopefully not too crowded!! Two years ago--same time line, not too bad and very pleasant weather.

we are going 1st week of march too.. we found the hotel issue too. I kept callign DLH until I got someone who would book me!! There is some kind of scam there. I wanted a monday thru thursday stay, and they just kept telling me if I made it a saturday thru thursday stay they could do it. SCAM!

OH! BTW, there is some kind of big cheerleader convention thing going on in Feb/march, I think they LEAVE march 3rd (not sure) but they will be crawling all over the park/hotels for two days. I planned around.. no need to frolic with THAT for my vacation!!

snorts...well then why is almost every hotel booked up then? :confused3

Because its only a month out.
Because the 3 resort hotels are offering a $150 gift card.
Because there are conventions.
And because the 50th is drawing in more people then normal! Early March is going to be as slow as it gets these days- which isnt very slow at all! So, slow compared to say, July, but not slow like a normal March / off season.

We will be there from the 2-6th so I really hope it will not be to bad.

I'm going the first weekend of March and I have had a hard time booking a Disneyland Resort. I picked up PP for $165 for my last 3 days, but Saturday 3/4 has been much harder. I can book it through DL for about $200 per night, but I really didn't want to pay that much. I have been trying for months now. I think the cheerleaders are messing things up for me and I was hoping that they would release some rooms back into the system at a reasonable price. I guess not.

I have a back-up at the HoJos for about $107 and I'll probably cancel PP if I can't get the Saturday at a price I'll like.

We are going there March 12-19 during Texas Spring Break. I did notice that they had added fireworks from just on the weekend to every day that week so they must think it is going to be busy. They just added it this week, so hotels must be filling up.

I'll be there the 1st thru the 5th. Wondering if the fireworks will be everyday during that time too? I need to check the calendar... where did you find your info?

I was looking at the Anaheim Convention center calendar and it looks like the cheerleaders are going to be there from Feb 24th through the 26th. We went last year and the park was crawling with them, and did not want to deal with that again this year. We are going this year March 1st through the 7th. We planned a longer trip then normal so that we could still do everything in anticipation of larger crowds, even though it is technically off season

There are actually 2 big competitions the 24th-26th of February, one at the Convention Center and one at DCA. There are 2 more at the Convention Center the 17th to the 19th of March.

We will be there March 9-11 and the hours are the same as they are in Febuary so I am hoping they aren't expecting huge crowds.
I only have 2 & 1/2 days so I need to move fast :yay: and hope for short lines :bitelip:
