Crowds end of Sept??

From some of the recent threads, I am starting to get a little nervous about the crowds for our trip next fall. We are planning on going Sept 19-26. Saturday to Saturday and, hopefully, the 25th will be the first day of DL's Halloween decorations (going on when they did it this year.) So was anyone there in that timeframe this year?? Were the crowds out of control like is being reported now or was it OK?? Any info would be very appreciated. Thanks!!

we were just there on 9/29 and 9/30. it was both more crowded, and hotter, than we expected.

we were still able to get on almost everything we wanted, but only once. whereas most times we go, we get to ride things multiple times. we didn't get to go on nemo. ride wait times, first thing in the morning, were good. but they got busier, earlier than i expected. for instance, when we went last august (mid), the first 2 or 3 hours was great, and we were able to go on most things we wanted at least once before the crowds began to build. the end of september was not like that for us. we had an hour, maybe, before the crowds picked up. i attribute that to the fact that in august, DL opened at 8am, and a lot of people sleep in. in september, they don't open until 10am, and by then most people are up and ready, fed, etc.

we're going back in june, and i'm actually looking forward to having those early mornings to get on a ton of rides easily.
