Crowds Easter week vs Summer ?

The last time I visited on Easter week was in 85. And it was more crowded than at other times. Now, for the past 11 years we have gone in May. This year (06), I am looking at April vacation week, which happends to begin on Good Friday. I'm just looking for some feed back from people who have gone on Easter week in recent years.

I have been to WDW over 30 times and for the first time, this year we took a week long trip during spring break/easter week. I will NEVER do it again. Just an example of the crowd issues would be, some restaraunts-at certain times were not accepting 'walk-in' traffic. Fast passes for popular attractions were gone at about 9:30am ( Mission Space, Test Track, Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, I could go on). Some times at the parks, it was difficult to walk due the crowd level.

I just remembered one more thing. We happened to drive this trip, and the crowds on the freeway coming down, were just as bad. We were stopped for hours at a time, for no reason other than just the sheer volume on the road. After that week, if I had to stand in one more LINE, I was going to go nuts.

We were there this past Easter week my DD is a teacher and wanted us to go with them. It was very, very crowded the MK opened at 7 am each morning. From your post I see you go every year we do also for us its not so bad. Since we go so often we don't feel we have to do everything. We went to the parks early then left when they started getting crowded. The pool at the resort was not busy during the day until about 3. The weather was beautiful. We would go back to the parks after dinner all but MK were not bad. I would not go Easter week if I were a first timer.

Did Easter this past year and summer the past too..Easter was far worse..but I still had fun as we go all the time..
