crowds during triatholon, sept 06

I was just wondering if anyone was at WDW last Sept during the triatholon. Last Sept was the first year this event was held, this year it is Sept22-24. We are planning our trip for Sept 22-30. Did this event bring in heavy crowds? I might have to rethink our dates.

anyone? Maybe no one went last year and it will not be very crowded this Sept! Wishful thinking. I am just wondering if I should change our week.

We were there that time last year, and if it weren't for a few signs here and there, I would never had known it was going on. There were NO crowds when we went last September 21-October 5, until the last weekend. I mean...NO crowds. Even though we don't like heat so much, we are trying to go back this September because it was so uncrowded!

Thank you! I was hoping that was the answer. I really didn't want to change our week. We can take the heat, we were there for 10 days last Aug! I am hoping for maybe even 5 degrees cooler! Anything would help!
