Sorry to post the most annoying question of all....I know there is really no way to predict crowd levels..it is my families 1st trip to DL..we are from NY so we travel to WDW every year...I have one day to do DL/DCA...even though we are going to CA for 8 nights..too much to do :) anyway, I heard that the monday of Presidents weekend would be very low crowds....much better then Sat or Sun..since the locals have tickets that can not be used that day and schools are not out that week in the west so people are traveling home that day....is there any truth to this...because Sunday was better for us but I will change our plans..please help...any advice would be great ;);)

I wouldn't worry about the crowds, but focus on which day the parks are open the longest. No matter which day you choose, it will be crowded, so I think your best bet is going on the day the park will be opening early and closing late.

Crowded at DLR is not like crowded at WDW. I think you can actually accomplish alot on a crowded day at DLR.

Does anyone else agree with me on this?

Nope. You heard wrong. Local AP's are blocked out on Monday, but Deluxe AP's are not. Those people who were blocked out over the weekend may come in force on Monday.

In addition, many school in California and "the west" have the entire week off. President's Day and the entire week is crowded.

I would go over the weekend when all AP's (with blockout dates) are blocked.

Yes and No. Both Disney Resorts can be very busy, and DLR can be VERY crowded.

Veterans of both DLR and WDW say that you can accomplish a lot at either park if you have a plan and use FP's wisely.

Have a great trip!

We are from Washington and have a 5 day weekend off from school for Presidents Day. We'll be there on that Monday! And it looks like DL is open 8am to midnight. :woohoo:

Thanks for all your help..I am going to keep our plans and go on Valentine's Day..hopefully...it won't be very crowded..Never been to DL so even with the crowds we will enjoy ourselves!!
