I was wondering how the crowds are during Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend and the week after. We went to WDW this past April 4-th 5th. The crowds weren't too bad except for the MK on Monday. Any idea?

We did this in 2004 - from the Wed. before MLK weekend til the Tues. after. The Wed. and Thurs. before was empty! And Friday morning was very doable. You could feel the crowds coming by Friday afternoon. Sat. and Sun. we avoided MK and it was okay. Mon. and Tues. after MLK weekend was very crowded.

The weather was freezing, which worked to our advantage.

We were there this year the Wednesday through the Saturday before MLK Monday. Did MK on Wednesday and everything was walk on except Peter Pan, which we Fast Passed because we didn't need FP for anything else! We did EMH that night, again, all walk ons. Thursday we did MGM, all walk ons there, too. Friday was AK in the POURING rain - I don't suggest that. But no waits! And Saturday at Epcot wasn't crowded (FP for Test Track) but the weather was bad - overcast, windy, misty. The mist would blow in our faces no matter which direction we were going - not pleasant. Unpleaseant enough that we skipped Illuminations because we were miserable. I know the weather turned bad in the middle of our trip but for 9 straight days before we arrived it was BEAUTIFUL. Everyone agrees that time of year is a gamble for weather.
