Crowds during Labor Day Week?

Is anyone familiar with the attendance the week of labor day (Sept. 6th-10th)? I know labor day will most likely be packed but what about the rest of the week? I believe the LA schools start on Sept. 9th so does that mean the two days prior would be fairly busy? I'm just wondering if we should wait until the following week to book our vacation. Any advice or opinions would be helpful!

<font color=navy>I believe that the Tuesday after Labor Day is considerably lighter in crowds. I would also take advantage before attractions go down for refurbishment.
