Crowds during days of HHN?

Hi all. We're planning for Universal Oct. 8 & 9 which is a Friday and Saturday of HHN. Since we're NOT doing HHN, how is the crowd level during the day of HHN; is it packed all day or do most people arrive closer to the end of the day? Will it be too crowded since they close at 5:00? Or should I go Thursday instead even though it's only open to 6:00. Thanks!

October is off-season for daytime hours, so crowds are not a problem.

Very light.
In the morning, the place is a ghost town.
It picks up in the early afternoon.
Then for HHN, the place is packed.
