We have a trip booked from Sun May7th - Monday May 15th... How are the crowds during this time?

I'm interested in this answer, as well. We'll be there from May 6 - 12. We've been there at the end of May and thought the crowds were light to moderate. Hope it is nice like that again!

Saturday, May 13, 2006 6
Sunday, May 14, 2006 7

These are the numbers from the UG online. Scale of 1 to 10 with 10 the most crowded (think Christmas week).

I think you'll be fine, but the weekend is Mother's Day, so we're going too, and I'll bet there are more crowds that weekend than the following weekend.

Thanks for posting that rkmassa.

I'm glad we're leaving for home before the Mother's Day weekend hits. We were almost staying for that weekend.

We were there from May 4-14 last year -- 2005 seems like so long ago. Our DD had not yet started kindergarten.

I'm kind of surprised to see the crowd levels listed as 6 and 7. I could've sworn that last year I saw 3s and 4s listed for the crowd level.

The only days we experienced crowds were Fridays and Saturdays. School is still in session at that time, which is why we chose those dates.

We had NO problem whatsoever with crowds. We rode a few rides back to back. We rarely waited any longer than 10 minutes for rides. There were a few exceptions (mainly on the weekends), but 30 minutes for Splash Mountain may have been tops.

The crowd level was nothing compared to our previous trip which was during July-Aug, 03.

And remember that we were there May 5 -- the day the 50th Anniversary celebration kicked off.

We were there for Mother's Day, too. We did the Mother's Day Brunch at Epcot. It was fantastic! We plan to do it again.

The first few days the temperature was a bit nippy and there were a few sprinkles, but it soon warmed up. We only had 1 day with a hard rain.

I think you'll be very glad you chose this time to visit WDW!

We loved the smaller crowd experience so much that we made the decision to schedule our future WDW trips in May.

Matter of fact, my 5DD loves Steven Curtis Chapman and he usually performs at Night of Joy every Septermber, so I think we're going to get annual passes and do the following:

2nd week of May 2007 - 1 week at WDW
2nd week of Sep 2007 - 1 week at WDW
Mid-Oct to Mid- Nov 2007 - Extended weekend at WDW
Post-Thanksgiving - Pre-Christmas - Extended weekend at WDW
1st week of May 2008 - 1 week at WDW

We homeschool and that makes it very easy to schedule trips during lower attendance times.

I have been asking all over these boards about the Mother's Day Brunch at EPCOT and no one has an answer for me. We will be there May 12-19. The 13th is DS 5th Bday and the 14th is Mother's Day. We want to do the brunch, but I am not sure when/how they release this dining event.
We went to the Candlelight Processional this past Dec. and they released that in Sept and we heard about the release date on Allears.net. How will I know when they release the dates for the MD brunch?

MAGICX2,

Mother's Day falls during the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. Heck, a LOT of things fall during this festival. ;)

Check out Epcot's International Flower & Garden Festival on this site.

I don't see an active link yet for the Mother's Day Brunch.

Also check out the Dining page on this site.

I don't remember the phone number for Priority Seating reservations, but I'm sure somebody will post it. If not, I'll post it when I get home from work.

I'd call PS as soon as possible and ask them about the brunch.

If I remember correctly, I believe they have a 2 or 3 hour window on Saturday while Sunday has a much larger window. We scheduled ours for Sunday at 11:30 (a good brunch time).

It's a bit pricey -- around $29 per adult. Children were considerably less. But it was definitely worth it.

There's a buffet area for just the kids. And then there are buffet islands throughout World Showplace. I could've spent all day there! :hyper:

While you wait for your table, the waiting area has several male characters doing meet & greet.

I hope this helps a bit. Feel free to ask any questions.
