Crowds at MK today

Wow, it sounds like crowds are very hit or miss. I miss the days of having a true "low" season!

This was my 21st trip and I am a very experienced Disney person. I RD, I know the tricks. To me, this was the busiest I have seen in a long time this week. Yes, I avoided EMH, I went to MK on party days. I won't be going this week again. Back to the week after Thanksgiving for me. The most frustrating thing was how off the posted wait times were. Not fun to see 20 and wait over an hour.

We are headed there the week after Thanksgiving, leaving a week from today. I have been following the crowds this week and was surprised by the reports, I expected it to be pretty low and comparable to the week after Thanksgiving. It's just crazy how slammed MK is while the other parks are not. We plan to park hop and I made sure to book our FP's for our MK times. We shall see.

We leave a week from today as well. I am concerned about what the crowd levels are going to be during our trip but no matter what I plan on having a magical time. It seems like the fact that crowd calendars are outdated is completely accurate. Going and hoping for th best!!!

We are going on a last minute trip the week after thanksgiving too. I'm mentally preparing for the worst. In our tiny school, TWO other families from my daughter's class will be there that week. So out of 20 kids in small town PA, 3 will be in WDW that week. A neighbor is also going. Hoping this isn't indicative of overall crowds!

I love the week after Thanksgiving. Moderate crowds, great weather, beautiful decorations!

Was there Tuesday at 4 for the party. 4-7 was very nice. Low waits, some walk-ons and low crowds. Loved it.

There today till 7, party night. Place was jammed. 8-10 wasnt too bad but after that it was brutal. Long lines, 120 min at 7DMT, 60-90 at some of the other big ones.

And this was a party night! Havent seen it that bad in a while myself.

I was there too - and for the party. It was pretty miserable. I loved the party as usual. Crowded but manageable.

Here was our experience.

Wed : total disaster .....see my thread.
Fri: much lighter crowds but waits were long"ish" due to scaling...only 2 boats running at splash...etc etc..
Sat(today): light morning crowds...but built heavily through noon.....
