Hey guys.....just wondering how the crowds at the MK, EC, MGM, and AK were towards the end of january........and if the MK was crowed on Saturdays during that time....Thanks.

January is typically a ''slow'' time. I don't think you'll have a hard time with waiting for rides, and shows. Don't worry about it, have a good time!

4 years ago we went the end of Jan and there was virtually no wait on any rides. A year later we went a week later ( post 9/11) and the waits were 1/2 hour to 45 minutes on the most popular rides. Of course that is when they took away EE for resort guests for a time and we had utilized that on our first trip. Anyways we are going again Jan 23- Jan 30th and hoping it is similar to our first experience !!

Oh yeah , both times on Sat. MK was mobbed. We would have avoided it completly but that was the only time the parade was running so we went over just to see the parade.

It is out experience that MK is mobbed EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY no matter what time of year you go. We avoid it like the plague on weekends!!

We arrive on Thursday Jan 20 and will got to MK on that Afternoon/evening.

Fri Jan 21 - MK morning EMH - we plan to avoid that

Sat Jan 22 - based on this thread we will avoid MK

Sun Jan 23 - Will Sun be OK at MK, or do the locals visit on Sun too?

I'll be there same time as you aec and was wondering the exact same thing.

my plan is mk thur. jan 20-------be there at opening......then hop over to mgm late afternoon for the evening emh.

fri.---21--------universal

sat.---22-----epcot and maybe back to mk that night even though i know it will be packed.

We plan to arrive sometime thur afternoon. Hopefully I can take DS to MGM while DH rests in the room.

I was at MK on a Saturday in October. (I know it's not January.) We were just there to watch Spectro and Wishes. We staked out a spot about 1 1/2 hours prior to the parade start. I felt really stupid, but it was worth it to see the parade from the curb. My DD10 is really short. I didn't think the crowd was too awful, but mostly we just sat on the curb and waited for the parade.
