Hello. I am an avid planner! Hee Hee... Our hotel the Beach Club is booked for the week we are down there (except for a 2 br. suite - club level), but the Yacht Club still has std. and water view rooms available. Does that mean the one hotel will be running wild, while the other will be calmer? We just wanted to stay at the BC because of the pool and proximity to Epcot and the Boardwalk. I am now wondering if I should switch hotels (we've never stayed at the YC, but am sure we would enjoy it) or just stop worrying and have a good time!
I was requesting a room with a full balcony at the BC, if they are totally booked then I know it would be harder to fulfill my request.
When we stayed at BC there were always families in and around the lobby each time we walked through. We loved it there. It had a really warm disney feeling about it. And Art the Greeter is the best. We walked over to YC one day and there was not one person in the lobby. I think they get a lot of convention people there, so the atmosphere is quieter. They share the same pool (SAB) which is one of the best pools on property. We really liked the Marketplace at BC for breakfast items, snacks, drink refills, etc. YC does not have a place like this. If you really want a full balcony and are worried you may not get one, then you might want to switch to YC. I think all of their rooms have a full balcony. Disney has been very good to us over the years. We always make at least one request, and our requests have always been granted. Have a wonderful vacation! YC & BC are fabulous resorts.
