The only way I can figure our schedule is to do Aquatica on a Saturday or Sunday...will it be too crowded? We are going in October, but it is Columbus Day weekend, I can't find crowd info for Seaworld/Aquatica. If we have to wiat an hour in line for the slides etc. not sure if we should go or just do a beach day or Seaworld or something else instead.
My hubby HATES crowds so I am trying to do our best to avoid them ;)
Our plan is Sat.-Discovery Cove
Sunday- Aquatica
Monday- beach and possibly Mickeys not so Scary Halloween but I think that might make my kids too tired staying up until midnight since we are staying at the Hard Rock and will have early entry to Harry Potter at 8am the next morning
Teus and Wed- Unv and IOA
Thursday-leave for our Disney cruise!

We went to Aquatica this last Saturday. We were there and parked at 8:30. They allow you to find chairs on the beach and around the little kids area but the rest of the areas are closed until 9. We put on sunscreen while we waited for the area near the large climber to open. At 9 we put our stuff down and headed off. We were able to do all the large slides except for dolphin plunge (my kids are too short), before 10. We did each once.

Then we returned to the "stuff" and my kids played on the climber. At 11 we got a snack and drink then headed to the "not so lazy river" and the waved pool. We returned to our stuff at 12:30 and headed to the car for lunch and a rest at the hotel. The parking lot was completely full when we left and the lines were REALLY long.

If you can do the morning, then go for it. We had a great time and really did everything we wanted to do in about 4 hours. It wasn't leisurely but fun. It would not have been so fun had we not been there right when they opened!! If you are paying full price for a one day ticket, I'd also say not really worth 4 hours. But if included with DC then not a bad option.

I will say we enjoyed the evenings at SW a lot. So if the other option is to do a day there, it will be more bang for the buck.

We always have gone to Aquatica on a Monday and the park seemed almost empty, maybe you could switch your Monday beach day to Sunday and go to Aquatica on Monday. I'm not sure if it makes a difference but we always go in May.

Edited: Realized that I made a mistake. Originally though I went on a Monday.

We just went on Tuesday 7/23. I don't know how crowded Aquatica gets, but it seemed crowded to me. We got there at the park opening and did the Dolphin tube first. We waited about 20 minutes. When we left at 1pm, the line for that was really long (1 hour+ wait?). We waited about 20 to 35 minutes for each slide run.

Ok thanks so much!! We changed Aquatica to Monday and instead of beach day- Seaworld on Sunday. I will report back how it goes!! :)
