Crowds at AK

We have not been to AK since the opening of Pandora. Are the crowds much heavier now? We are traveling in February and are thinking of taking a day at AK. We don't want to do Pandora, but are more interested in Lion King Show, Dinosaur ride, etc. Should we wait another year for the crowds to subside some? Thanks!

Personally I don't think they're that bad if you aren't interested in Pandora. The only thing I noticed that was more crowded was the two Pandora rides. Everything else seemed 'normally' crowded to me.

Every park is crowded. On a typical day I'd expect say dinosaur to have a 30-60 min wait, Everest to be about 60 min, Safari about 75 min, Lion King we show up about 20-30 min prior to showtime.

It's not overly crazy and rides were already decent waits prior to Pandora, but I do think Pandora is bringing in extra people.

As far as waiting, no. Go when you want and just enjoy Disney. If you're trying to wait to go when Pandora crowds are thinning out then you'll be waiting at least a few more years. Now and next year won't be any different. Mine train opened over 4 years ago and it's still where the rush is going in MK

We had fast passes for the 2 days we were there so I snagged on Pandora ride each day. That being said we got there at rope drop and about 80-90% of the crowd headed to Pandora. We went the other direction and managed Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari and Kali River Rapids as near walk ons .

No reason to wait for AK. I'm currently thinking it's the park in the best shape due to it current state of "completeness." And I know you say you don't want to visit Pandora...but you'd really be missing out if you skip it. Even if you don't ride the attractions, it's really terrific place to see, with lots of room to just sit and absorb.

We went in December of last year and the crowds were fine outside of Pandora. If you aren't interested in that area, you can use your FP's for your other priorities. Pandora is pretty cool. You should check it out even if you don't ride the two rides there.

By the way, we had a FP for Flight of Passage that evening. We went first thing in the morning to ride Na'vi River when it was only a 15 minute wait. When we got out of that ride, Flight of Passage already had a 2 hour wait. It may have calmed down a bit since last December. Both rides are pretty cool. Na'vi is a very typical Disney ride. Flight of Passage is IMHO the best ride on property. Very cool.
