Crowds April 23-30?

Schools out here in NYC for April 23-30. Was wondering if other schools across the country also had this week off (this is the first year we didn't get Easter week off) I am thinking college spring breaks are mostly over, but not sure. Would like to take a trip to Disneyworld that week, very last minute planning.

Here in Westchester we are off next week, but I have heard that the resorts are pretty crowded the week of the 23rd. You might want to check availability of rooms before you get all excited!!

Thanks, we would have to stay off site this time (my niece isnt available to watch our 5 lb yorkie, so we will stay somewhere pet friendly) We also are members of DVC and used up most of our points at Christmas time. The crowds can't be as bad as they were Christmas week!

when I last checked, rooms were available everywhere, if its like last year, it won't be too bad.. basically I think parts of NY and NJ and NH have that week off, but not the entire states, Ma,RI,CT,ME, have the week or 2 before off.

I also figured that Florida schools will still be in session, I think they get out sometime in May, so this would definetly be a last minute trip. Would probably drive down as flights are too expensive this close to when we would be leaving. The cheapest flights i can find from any NY area airport are around $500 each.

It may be more crowded than I planned LOL...but still not at peak levels.

A large portion of NJ and NY have that week off for spring break. However, it isn't the entire state as far as I know.

when I last checked, rooms were available everywhere, if its like last year, it won't be too bad.. basically I think parts of NY and NJ and NH have that week off, but not the entire states, Ma,RI,CT,ME, have the week or 2 before off.

We have that week off too, 4/24-4/30. I know some people in southern MA and they have the week before, 4/17-4/23. Have fun .

My hometown is off this week, yet my niece's school in a nearby town has the last week off. Another district one town over had the 1st week of April off. So when I see these posts proclaiming all of NJ and NY or the entire NorthEast is off, I just want to assure others and say it's not true! I personally think the crowds will be medium. When the AP rates were released, I had no problem getting AP rate availability for the last week of April, and AP rates can be hard to get in busy times. I am not worrying about the crowds when I get there in 10 days!

From what my friend at DRC tells me, Most of the resorts are nearly at capacity, especially all the value resorts. It looks like because it's the NE. corridor for Spring Break.

Central Jersey checking in and it's the same thing here.... My town is off the last week, next town over was off Easter week, and on the other side is another town that was off this week. I also work in NYC and have lots of friends on Long Island where the weeks off are also ranging from Easter week thru the last week of April. So, I'm hoping for the best and that it won't be too bad!!!

Central NY state has the week before that off.

The value resorts are almost full and Many are full but I know AKL has many rooms open and many of the moderates have many of the rooms open
Poly and GF also have rooms open. You can check this on the WDW site.
I don't think it is going to be that bad. Moderate crowds.

We're going 4/21-4/26. I've been checking a lot and there are still rooms available at all of the resorts so I have my fingers crossed that it won't be madness!!!
