CROWDS AND WAITS

Hello ~ haven't been to DL in a number of years. What are the crowds and wait times like? Last trip to WDW was in November and although they state they were not a full capacity, wait times were really ugly!

Your best bet might be to download the Disneyland App and then look at wait times for the days(s) of the week you are thinking about going. They fluctuate a bunch day-to-day and hour-to-hour, and of course holidays and other events make a difference. That said, we found the wait times on the app to be generally inflated when we were there a couple weeks ago. Especially at night. Big Thunder said 45 but the queue was empty so we walked in and were on in about 5 minutes. Indy said 50 but the queue was only half-way down the outside ramp so we hopped in and were on in about 15 minutes.

We felt like they were inflating wait times all times of the day: in the morning to encourage people to buy Genie + and in the evening to make them feel better about their earlier purchase. There is no doubt though that Genie + and extra LL will save a ton of time during the day. Just not as much as they say it does.

Wait times were definitely inflated this evening at the parks. I got in line for rise at 6:15pm with a posted 70 minute wait, I was off the ride at 7:15pm. Incredicoaster had a posted 40, but from where queue started the wait was likely half that (I did single rider). Goofy sky school had gone down and when it came back online it had no line with a posted 35. And web slingers was down to 20 min at park close at 9pm. Which was more than the amount of time it took all in to ride.

Download the Disneyland app. The wait times are usually over estimated. I highly recommend buying genie+ though because then short waits are guaranteed
