Planning on going Sept 18-24, thanks to the kids stay and play free. It will save us $850!!!!

Anyone have info on crowds? weather? I know it will still have a hurricane threat, but is it still really hot?

I've gone in September 3 of the past 4 years. It is still pretty hot (bring a misterfan if you have one), and you stand a good chance of a thundershower each day. But rest assured, they are fast, rarely lasting more than an hour. As for crowds, the parks always feel crowded, but the lines for most attractions are fairly short. There are exceptions, like Soarin and Toy Story, but clever use of fast passes and help those. The biggest challenge is ADR's. September has been free dining month for the past 4-5 years. This means Disney resorts are filled, and all the restaurants get booked quick. If you don't have ADR's yet, make them ASAP.

I've really enjoyed my Sept. trips. The MK is decked out for Halloween, and since I stay at the CR, i get too see HallowWishes from the resort. You should have a great time :)

I agree, we usually go in either Sept or Oct. last year we went Sept 10-23rd and like the pp said it is Hot. Not nearly as hot as July but still got pretty humid at times. The fans help. Bring ponchos and raincovers for the stroller if you have a stroller. Make sure you put the cover on your stroller when you park it, even if the sky looks blue, you never know when it is going to pour and you will be glad you took the time to cover it. I agree with everything the pp said about ADR's thanks to free dining TS are hard to come by and walking right in is pretty difficult. But the parks aren't terrible. The longes waits are the biggies like TSM which was 90 mins at one point, but if you plan it correctly and go to HS early and head right there for fast passes. Get a fast pass and if the line is short go on it. If the line is ever shorter than 30 mins go on it, it goes pretty quickly. I also LovE MNSSHP it is a ton of fun and tons of people dress up, even adults w/o children. You will have a great time.. We are going Oct this year because my son will be in 1st grade so we are planning around school vacations. have some sort of game plan, make ADRs, and be prepared and you will have a wonderful trip.:cool1:

We are going in Sept for the 1st time as well, so all tips etc are definitely welcome. We are taking advantage of the free DDP and are staying at POFQ from 09/17-09/26. ADR;s have been made, and we are looking forward to doing MNSSHP a couple of times as well as seeing the Halloween decorations etc.

We hear that the parks etc for Sept are not that busy and crowds and waits are usually low. Well, we're hoping that's the case.

:)I've gone a few times in September, very hot very humid... hardly any crowds!!! I think the mister fan is a great idea (we have a couple and use them quite a bit):)

If you are dining at t sit down restaurant make your reservations asap... other than that... Have a great time!!!

This will be my first trip during September too! The 12th thru 23rd, at POFQ. I saw the decorations for Halloween last August but didn't know about the fireworks! I will be looking forward to that!

We'll deal with hot and humid if we can get low crowds. We usually always go in May and it's usually high 80's low 90's during that time as well. So we'll just have to be ready! We are very excited!!

after having the low crowds and amazing weather in Nov, I can't imagine going at a busy or hot time.
I would rather go in November again, but the discount is only good through Oct 2.

The Halloween decorations are all up in September, but to see the special Hallowishes fireworks display you need to go to a MNSSHP... Buuuuttt you can view them from the Poly on their beach with the music to go along with for free.:)

We have gone to MNSSHP a couple of times, loved it absolutely worth it. (atleast once) The parade alone was awesome.

And to BigGreen 73... The low crowds make any weather tolerable!!! We had plenty of walk ons (no wait at all) some attractions (i.e. Toy Story Mania, Soarin) just always have a line... but it really wouldn't be WDW without a little waiting!!
;)
