Crowds 9/10/04-9/18/04? Who's going then?

We are just over three weeks away from our first WDW vacation!!! Yiipppeeee!! Anyway, my friend who always goes to WDW during Spring Break time is telling me it's always crowded at WDW so expect to wait in long lines. Is that really true? I thought September was a good low-crowd time to go to WDW, but since I have never been before I am not really sure what to expect. I have PSB, CRT and Chef Mickey's, LTT, 50's Prime Time & Sci-Fi already booked, but should I really be worried about not getting "in" anywhere else if we decide at the last minute? What can we really expect as far as wait times for rides and the crowds in the parks? Also, is it still best to avoid MK on Mondays? Sorry for ALL the questiosn and thanks for all your help!

It has been a few years since I have been in Sept (we have been going in Jan lately). But the couple times that we went in Sept, it was great. Very low crowds with most rides being walk-on or 5-10 min wait. Unsure about avoiding MK on Monday, we always go off-season and this has not been a problem for us.

We are going 9/10 to 9/13 this year for a quick trip.

We are going again this sept 9th-18th...we went last year at the same time and we thought it was the best time of the year to go..very little wait time on the rides,crowds not that bad at all...all i all id say its the best time to go...have fun

We are also going the 10th-18th. I have not been to the world for many yrs, but have been to the land frequently. The land seems always busy to me, even in Sept. The only thing I can think of about that is that there are obviously fewer parks so the crowds are more condensed. I am keeping my fingers crossed that tradition holds with WDW and the week after Labor day being slow. See ya there!

every time we have been in sept, there have been no lines. its great. you can even make ps res the same day, or sometimes you dont even need them. I remember we went to rock n rollercoaster at 2 in the afternoon on a weds, 0 min wait time!! its a great time to go. you can get on all the rides in a short amount of time, then ride them all over again!!

We always go in September and low crowds is why. You might experience lines in some of the most popular rides (RNRC, Test Track, etc.) but that's why they invented the Fast Pass! Of course if you go early in the morning, there won't be any lines. The only time we had problems was last year at MK - Spectro was same as this year, just twice in one week. So we picked Saturday - BIG MISTAKE!!! We went over to the MK about 6Pm and were shocked at how crowded it was! We didn't even stay for the fireworks or Spectro .

I will be there the September 11 - 19. I have heard that it is not to crowded since most of the kids have just gone back to school.

Was there last Sept with DS, crowds very light, weekends a little busier, don't worry go and have fun crowds won't be a problem. Here are a few pics of our Sept. trip. Notice the crowds!

leaving for WDW on the 10th can't wait! we LOVE the way the parks are with so little crowds even though they close earlier, we love going this time of year and sept. has become our favorite month!

We will be there Sept 11- the 19th. This will be our 3rd Sept and we absolutly love going that time of year. We were there in March and I did not enjoy it when it was crowded. This was a bonus trip to ease the March trip's overcrowdedness.

Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've been going in September since 2001, and the crowds are minimal. The first year it was as tomb, but we were there just after 9/11. Each year thereafter the crowds have gotten a little bigger, but nothing like summer. We rarely use fastpass and never wait in line. We love September.

We will be there the 11 - 17th this year.

we'll be in disney 9/11 -9/18 i'm sure the crowds won't be bad -since we've been a number of times in September the only thing i'm worried about is i hope a hurrricane isn't in the forecast. Last September we left Virginia for Disney 2 days after Isabell hit-what a mess
