Hi everyone,
I was wondering if someone can enlighten me as to what the crowds might be like in early December? I'm taking my wife and our twin 29 month old boys for they're first Disneyland trip from the 6th through the 11th (sun thru Thu). I know Christmas week is probably crazy but was wondering about the 2nd week. Thanks :santa:

It's great! We always go the first or second week of Dec during the week and we have the place to ourselves. You guys will have an awesome time. I have a 26 month old boy and he is in love with Disneyland.:goodvibes

I asked the same a little ago and was told that there was something called a Candlelight Processional at DL around that time and due to that all bets are off. Supposedly thousands of people come for this event.

I will be there the same days with DD2 and DD4 for the first time ever.

The Candlelight Processional is just the first Friday and Saturday of Dec., so those 2 days will be busy but the rest should be great. Have fun!!!

The Cast Member Christmas parties are the 8th and 9th and DL will be closing at 6 p.m. for these nights. DCA will stay open until 9 p.m. :)

How about the week of the 15th? Also, what is the weather like. I know in NY we will probably have snow? Thanks

Well, Anaheim weather is kind of hard to predict but there won't be snow... except maybe a little fake Disneyland snow

I'd estimate around 70 as a high and if you're there on a day when the park is open till midnight plan for it to get down to around 50 by midnight.

So Cal weather is mild, especially compared to NY...Last time I was there at Xmas time (early dec.), it was in the low 70s most of the time and the kids swam in the hotel pool everyday...That said, the previous december visit, we had to buy hats and gloves because we were freezing being outside all day(altho, I think that was an unusually cold spell)...You may also encounter rain that time of year, so I would just bring layers and something to keep you dry.

We are going to be there dec. 2-6. It's definitely my favorite time of year at Disneyland. We are hoping for smaller crowds Wed/Th, so we will try to watch the fireworks and do some of the more popular rides then, before the weekend crowds. I'm hoping to see the Candlelight Processional...It looks cool and the last time we were there during that weekend, we missed it due to rain. Anyway, hope this helps you decide.:santa:

Thanks everyone for the great information. This is also going to be our first trip as DVC members so were excited to hopefully get a look at the GC Villas incase we decide to buy there as well. December is our fav WDW time of year to go as well. Im really praying for 70's and no rain, I'd even be happy with 60's and no rain. Having twin 2yr old boys I'd rather stand in a long line in the 60's then high 80's or 90's anyday. So again thanks for all the info.:santa:
