Crowds 1st Week December??

Not too bad... 2 things to watch out for...Candlelight Processional, which draws huge crowds at night, and Cast Member xmas party, which shuts Disneyland down early for 2 nights. They don't always fall on the first week but it has happened.

Oh ok, that's good to know. I'm only going for a few days for my birthday since I have NEVER seen Disneyland at Christmas and my work doesn't allow vacation time after November 1st so I'm being sneaky and saving my personal days until the first week of December so I can go haha.

We always go the week after Thanksgiving, and the past two years that has been the first week in December. These trips have also been noticably more crowded than previous years' trips (when the week after Thanksgiving fell at the end of November). However, it is still a great week to go. Waits are still low, and the awesome Christmas stuff makes the waits very worth it. We hope to go that week again next year. Happy planning!!!

We go the first week in December every year (my birthday too!). This past year was a lot more crowded than ever before. It was a Thursday, which is supposedly a "down" day. Usually we walk on rides, have no problem walking around, food lines are minimal, and the shows are not that crowded.

This past year was such a difference! It was busy from the moment we got there (an hour early) and just got worse as the day went on. People got parade spots 3.5 hours early!! Just not what we were ever used to.

I think there may be something to this 1 million people annual pass theory. As an AP holder I have been very surprised in the difference between this year and 2 years ago.

How are the crowds first week of December usually??

I went the second week last year, and I would almost say it was perfect. The crowds were very lite, plus they ran all the night shows at full schedule. Aside from the rain, I would say it was perfect

Hmm maybe I'll do second week lol my birthdays on a Sunday between first and second week so it wouldn't really matter haha. I just don't want to go on a weekend
