Is it better to go Feb. 16-Feb. 21 or November 22-November 27??? It is hard now to pull kids out of school DD(7th) DD(6th)... Do you have any better suggestions without going in the summer??

Both times will be crowded, as they are both holiday times (President's Day and Thanksgiving). It all comes down to a matter of personal preference as to which time you'd prefer to travel, since crowds will be roughly equal.

Unfortunately, I've never traveled at either time of year, so I can't give any personal advice. Can anyone give any insight on these times of year?

Thanksgiving is CROWDED!! Year before last there was even a line getting into the Disney Store in DTD. It didn't used to be that way but now it is unreal!

We pulled our kids out of school the last time we went to WDW and we're doing it again. We're going from Feb 4- 10. Our school is really good about giving the kids time off for family vacations. Our school district's policy allows kids 2 days to make up one day of missed school assignments and tests. My kids buckle down the week before we go and work non stop when we return, to complete missed classwork and tests. You know your children the best and every school district has their own policy on excused leave from school.

Our school district is not so strict my kids would be able to leave school without a problem. The only thing is that they get ALOT of work. It seems like they got so much we were doing it for about 2 days straight. I just would like to take them out of school for only 1-3 days.

You can not control the heat/humidity so you are smart to skip the summer months...BUT you can control the way you TOUR! I suggest you check out Tour Guide Mike. Tourguidemike.com is a planning/informational site that is INVALUABLE. There is a price to join the site, but it's not any more money that buying a guide book. There is also a forum over there that may Dis members frequently visit. The folks over there are very helpful (along with those here!) Mike's information is right on the money. I visited WDW last Thanksgiving with my family--DH, DS3 1/2, DD1 and we did not wait in ANY LINE LONGER THAN 10 minutes! I REALLY stress you check Mike out at tourguidemike.com. You will never buy another guide/touring book again! :thumbsup2

what about jersey week.....anybody know???
We've gone during Jersey week. It's pretty crowded but then again I've never been there in summer or holidays to compare. Our ds's are in 1st and 4th grades so missing a little school hasn't been a problem. I know in a few years it won't be so easy.
The line in Peter Pan was almost an hour wait. People started chatting about where they were from. I think the whole state was there! :lmao: Still, it was that way Apr.2005 (20-27, not during holiday break) when we pulled them out for a week and Splash Mountain was a 90 min. wait.
We're going the end of Sept. b/c our schools are closed for Yom Kippur and the Fri before for teacher's inservice (4 day weekend) and we're letting them miss 2 days.

It's too late for right now but I've heard the very end of Aug. isn't nearly as crowded as earlier parts of the summer since most southern schools are back in session.
Good luck :thumbsup2

Go for November. Both times are crowded but you'll likely have better, warmer weather and a chance to see some Christmas decorations.
