hey all. 28 days to go until my trip and I was just wondering if anyone else going in sept. during free dining is having trouble changing ADRs? I mean, is there anywhere you've tried to make reservations for (besides the obvious like CRT, Le Cellier) and they've been totally booked? I need a nice place for a sunday night, my birthday and I booked Wolfgang Puck but it's not going over well with the others in my party since it's at 10:30pm...anyways, just looking for others' experiences...should I tell them to get over it or do you think I'll still be able to get something else? Thanks!
Stacy :yay:

We're going 9/16-9/20 and I had a hard time getting 'Ohana and Chef Mickey's at a reasonable time for a party of 3. I kept calling back and was able to get Chef Mickey's, Restaraunt Marrakesh, 50's Prime Time, and 1900 Park Faire at decent times. I gave up on 'Ohana unless I wanted to eat at 8:30pm. My daughter, while a patient 4 year old, probably would melt down if we ate that late. ;)

Keep trying...there are lots of great places to try and you might get ressies for them. And yeah, 10:30pm does seem kind of late to eat.

Good luck!

I was able to get Che'f Mickey's at 7:30am for Sept 24, last week. To me this is a good time, some may say it is early. I also cancelled a few ADR's for that week. I went this time last year and was able to get ADR's same day or day before from our room at WDW. Not for the popular places like Le Cellier or Chef Mickey's but many of the places in Epcot and MK.

I spent an hour on the phone today arranging ADRs. I've had my chef mickey ADR for several months but have been fine tuning the rest. We are trying some places that are new for us, like Grand Floridian Cafe and Kona Cafe, but we were able to get both at a decent time. We are eating quite a few meals at 2 tables since we'll have 7-10 people dining together. Keep trying though. I called twice today, within an hour of each other, and availabilty had opened up by the second call.

I have called every day, sometimes twice a day for 2 weeks trying to get an ADR at Boma, on a Wed, Sept 27th for a party of 5. Nothing available all night, I even want to eat really late, like 9pm and still nothing.

We are going last week of Sept and I've been frustrated that I can't really get the times I want. I even started calling 90 days before. I was able to get the restaurants I wanted but not the times. Just recently I have tried to get Liberty Tree Tavern but the only times available have been late and during Spectromagic (which we want to see). I'm hoping if I keep calling something will open there.

We are going Sept 17-21. I made all my ADR's last week and got all the restaurants and times I wanted no problem. We are going to CG, Blue Zoo, Shula"s and Citrico's. I also made all my ADRs for Dec today and got everything I requested. They did ask me if I was on the dining plan, which I am not, maybe that has something to do with it. I was wondering why they ask, do they allow only a certain amount of tables for the DP?

We are going 9/20-9/24 and have not been able to get Chef Mickey's. I keep trying but have had no luck! :guilty:

We are going Sept 11 - 22, and have changed a few without any problems. The only ADR I have had a problem with is CRT which my OH just decided he wanted to do!

The availabilty appears to be quite open for the resort signature resturants if that helps.

I didnt have any problems making ADR's for our upcoming trip. Albeit, we are very flexible on meal times (thats what snack credits are for in my opinion) and its only two of us going on the trip. We're not exactly a stretch on the seating arrangement and pretty much every time that I wanted I got except for an early that I would have liked supper for the fantasmic package. Overall, no complaints on my end though.

I, too, am only 28 days out today. ( :cool1: )

I already had my hard to get reservation booked, i.e. LeCellier :cloud9: (even though had to take 4:40 p.m.), but I had been procrastinating on Jiko and Chefs de France for some strange reason. :confused3 Just called and got both for the dates and times I wanted. It will be just my best friend and me and I truly think that 2 people only get in alot easier.

Here's our schedule, during Free Dining and intentionally going to two signature restaurants so not a slave to reservations:

9/21/06 at 7:20 p.m. California Grill (See Wishes)
9/22/06 at 6:00 p.m. Wolfgang Puck (PI night!!)
9/23/06 at 4:40 p.m. Le Cellier (best I could get and had to have it)
9/24/06 at 7:00 p.m Jiko (explore AKL)
9/25/06 at 5:00 p.m. Chefs de France (early so we can monorail over to Spectromagic and Wishes at MK)

Good luck with your ADRs. :wizard:
