Does anyone know what the crowd will be like on Saturday and Sunday?

Also can you bring in your own food like at Disney?

The crowds this weekend should be elevated but not super busy. The Express Pass price is the way to gauge the anticipated crowd and this weekend it's almost at the cheapest rate. As long as you don't bring a whole banquet in with you, you should be OK. They will check your bags of course but you can bring snacks and stuff in with you.

We were thinking about staying at one of the hotels at Universal. So sandwiches for lunch would be ok? Can you take a small cooler?

Sandwiches would be fine. Coolers are officially not allowed but some posters have said they took one in and some weren't allowed. Try to make due with an insulated bag to keep stuff cold instead of hauling around a cooler...you'd have to store it somewhere while you ride stuff.

Does anyone know which park is busier at the weekend (if there is a difference?). My park plans means that i've got to visit either IOA or US on a Sunday...Which one is best to do??..I'm wondering if US is busier at the weekends with locals going to do RRR!??....

It varies...I've seen IOA dead on a Sunday but then it's slammed the next Sunday. It's a roll of the dice.

Ok, thanks. We have Flexi tickets so we can jump from park to park which should make it easier to make a judgement call on the day.

Lately it has been more busy at USF due to the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit opening.
