Anybody in the parks at US/IOA Dec. 16th-23rd? I was wondering how the crowds were.

We were in CityWalk twice (using the Ent. Bk meal and a movie coupons), and it was very quiet, but it looked like a lot of people came out of the parks at closing.

We're planning on doing US/IOA and Sea World the week before Christmas next December (did Disney this year and were very satisfied). Can anybody give a crowd report?

Thanks!

We was there the 16th-20th and it was not bad at all, in the
morning it was very peaceful then around 11:00 it would pick up a little
but nothing like it is in the spring or summer.

I would definitely go at that time again. No worries, it was great! Very managable and very little waits.

We were there 12-19 to 12-26. It got a little busier at Christmas. Even though, didn't think the crowds were all that bad.

rain on 12/25 kept it to the lower side than normal:cool2:

I agree, the crowds were fabulous! I definately recommend this time of year. We had absolutely no wait for any ride we rode! The most aggravating thing was weaving through the empty lines to literally walk on the ride! We'll take that "aggravation" any day!

Thanks, everybody!

I agree that if the worst aggravation I have is walking thought the empty lines, I'm in good shape! :thumbsup2

I knew that I'd never been there when CityWalk was so quiet - absolutely no wait for a table at either Hard Rock Cafe or Margaritaville.

It sounds like a great time to go with no need for the Express Pass.

We were at the parks Dec 18-22 and I was happily surprised that the parks weren't overly crowded. I think the most we waited was 20 minutes to get on rides at US, the wait for rides at IOA was usually less than that. I would go during the week before Christmas again.

Thanks, it looks like we'll be back there again next year the week before Christmas! I only hope the weather turns out as good as it was this year...

Great thread, as we are in the beginning stages of planning a trip for early/mid December. How were onsite hotel rates? Particularly, HRH?

We were there on the 19th I think? Anyway, the crowds were great, very low. Much less people there than were at WDW that week. We waited less than 10 minutes for MIB at US and Hulk in IOA.

We were the on Monday, December 18th and did both parks that day. The longest we waited was 15 minutes for The Mummy ride!
