Very brief report today, folks. I’m pressed for time :-(.
Crowds were reasonable for a Candlelight Processional day. In other words, they were exactly in line with my expectations. Definitely not bad but also… well, decidedly full
. Once the gates opened, many people ran for a spot on ROTR. Since I don’t care much for or about that attraction, it meant little to me. I spoke with a security veteran CM I know and he said he’s spoken with higher-ups about possible solutions to curtail running but they went largely unheeded.
I struck up a conversation with a group of very pleasant girls next to me at the rope. It turned out that it was one of the girl’s birthday. But she didn’t have a birthday button. So when I headed off to the bathroom, I picked one up for her. When I got back to the rope, I told her that I’d had my birthday button in my pocket from my last bd but, to my amazement, when I pulled it out, it had changed to her name ;-). She and they all loved it! I really enjoy helping to make other guests' vists magic. I also talked them out of going to Matterhorn first and to do PP instead. They took my advice and did well - tenth or thereabouts. It was a good thing they started with PP because Matterhorn wasn’t open at 8:00. So they won on both counts
.
Did OK on Buzz. Broke 2M twice but in both cases the scores didn’t come through, once because I exceeded 2,096,900 and it reset. That was and always will be maddening
.
I didn’t see/attend the CP :-(. I had other events that evening. Next year I’ll plan better.
