I'm very curious as to what others have personally experienced with crowd levels.

What was your most crowded Disney World trip (month/year) & least crowded?

Our most crowded was November 2003 Thanksgiving week, I had been during Thanksgiving 1997 too, but 2003 was by far the most crowded I'd ever seen Disney. Wait times were consistantly 60 minutes give or take. :earseek:

The least crowded for us was the last week of May 2001. It wasn't empty by any means, but the wait times were not too bad.

Our least crowded trip was March 2003. The war started while we were there, and the crowds seemed really low for a spring break time to me. The most crowded was October 2003. The night they had Epcot closed for the media event for Mission Space we went to MK and it was wall to wall people. They had to let people exit through backstage areas to relieve crowds at closing.

The least crowded time was in Dec. of 2004. Of coarse the first week. There were no waits at all for the rides. As a matter of fact, they were not even offering Fast Passes.

The most crowded for us was Easter week. I do not have to say anymore!! :crazy2:

Have a great day!!

Its a toss up here either July 4th week 1995 or Spring break 1999.

Least crowded is a tie between Sept 2002/Jan 2005.

1992 was the most crowded week we have faced, first week in December after Twin Towers were attacked on Sep. 11th,WDW was deserted.

Least crowded, September 2002, between Gulf coast hurricanes.
Most crowded Thanksgiving 2002, the night the snow started falling on New York Street and it was only opened to annual passholders. Going through Osbourne lights was nuts. I kept worrying we wer going to lose a kid.
All my DD12 at the time wanted was to hurry on back to RNR.

Can I just say that on Christmas Day, 1988, the park was practically empty??? Boy, how times have changed ...

Least crowded January '95, most crowded Mar 96. We've been lucky ever since, low to moderate crowds. But I was surprised by how many people were there this past January. It wasn't crowded, just more than I expected. Good news for Disney, not so much for those of us who've gotten used to low crowds. I'm beginning to worry about our 1st week of May trip. :scared:

Most crowded was Easter time (13 times doing that) and Christmas Week (twice) and year never mattered. Least crowded were end of February 1975, mid-October 1983, mid-September 1989, early-November 1991, and end of January 2002.

I went to WDW many times (last time was in 2001) in the last week of August/first week of Sept and it was always empty - very hot, but empty. I plan on going at that time again this year and am worried because everything I read makes it sound like it will have average or high crowds. I HATE CROWDS!

Why is it getting more crowded? Is it due to an increase in people from Europe?

Most crowded for us was Christmas week in 1995. We went on only 5 rides all day in MK spending most of our time in L O N G lines. The best week was the 2nd week in January 2001 we walked on most every ride in MK before 12:30pm. Just got back yesterday and crowds were really big this past Wednesday and Thursday. Before that there was a short wait at every park. :wave2: :wave2:

My most crowded, believe it or not, was Feb 6 - 12, 2005! I thought it was unbelievably crowded for a time that was supposed to be the least crowded. I'm sure it wasn't as crowded as Christmas but it was by far the most crowded I have ever experienced it. Least crowded was November 1998.

We've only made 2 trips, so I don't have much to compare. However, July of 2003 was much more crowded(and the heat almost unbearable) than January of this year. :earsboy:

Least crowded Feb. 2001 (Tues thru Fri before President's day) - we flew HOME on the Saturday of President's Day weekend.

Most crowded - Week after Memorial Day in 2000. Even worse than mid-June 2004.
