Crowd levels mid-Oct?

What has been the experience with crowd levels in mid-October? We are planning to go 10/13-10/20. TouringPlans has the crowd levels rather low, but I'm starting to question the accuracy of their information. Anyone with knowledge of the past year or two?

We were there in October 2010 more towards the beginning of the month. The crowds weren't bad but they weren't light either. We always go in either May or October and to me they seem about the same. I think October can be busy because of the halloween party and the F&W at EPCOT. I would recommend that time to go because it's really a fun time of year.

We were there last October from the 22nd-29th and I would say we thought the crowds were moderate - the weather was perfect though. We've been and are comparing it to our stay over Columbus day week back in '09 and thought that week was insane and very HOT.

We were at the parks the week of Oct. 17, 2009 and I have never seen the parks so quiet. We took pictures just to show everyone back home. Walkways without a single person on them. I would definitely travel mid October again.

Last October the crowds were manageable. It wasn't empty, but there weren't insane lines either. As others have said, Epcot WS really fills up in the evenings on the weekends because of F&W. Other than that, it wasn't too bad. I would happily go back at that time of year.
