Crowd Levels in September

We are planning a trip next September (mid month) and are curious what the crowd levels will be like? We are going to be in California for 8 nights but our days at Disneyland will be a Tues- Thurs.

We were just there from Sept 9-16 and it was super busy. Shorter hours, less staff and more visitors. Fastpasses were a necessity (get maxpass - it's worth every penny). We still have a wonderful time, though.

Early September was really nice, low to moderate crowds. The week Halloween time started the crowds really picked up. Depending on the exact dates and when Halloween time starts next year you might also have Halloween parties to contend with.

We are looking to be there Tuesday, September 18 - Thursday, September 20th. That poses another question since Halloween was mentioned, are all of the Halloween attractions (we are mainly interested in The Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay being done and open) around this time?

They should be up by then.

We just came back from 9/17-9/20. Crowds were rough at times but we made it work with Maxpass. It's a huge help.
