We are thinking about doing Disney in Sept or Oct. Anyone have any insight as to when to go? Just wife and I, no kids this time. We do not want crowds. :woohoo: :cool1:  :love2:

The past 2 yrs we've gone the last few days of Sept. into the first few days of Oct. In comparison to May and early December we find it to be the least busy time of the times mentioned.

But, no crowds at WDW, no, you will always find some kind of crowds there these days at sometime during your stay. Lesser crowds at that time (especially mid-Sept) but, F&W will be crowded especially on weekends, so if you don't want crowds don't go to F&W.

Probably the least crowded time will be just after Labor Day. But, do expect classes from local schools at Epcot during this time.

We went in late September/early October. We had an absolute blast! Never waited more than 25 minutes for anything, and most the time we just walked right on. MNSSHP was really great, Hallowishes was amazing. Yes, it was pretty hot and rainy but it was all very managable. The crowds seemed low and even most restaurants were taking last minute ADRs with no problem. And no, we didn't get eaten by lovebugs or swept away by hurricanes. :)

We loved going in October. It just doesn't fit into our schedules right now. Remember Food and Wine is during that time, so Epcot can get busier.

We are also going from October 17-25 and were wondering about the crowds too. Is the weather generally nice down there around this time? And are the water parks open?

The end of September is still very HOT! Also if free dining is offered, it will be very crowded. My suggestion is to stay as close to the end of October as possible. There are discount room post cards floating @ that include 10/19-10/31 so that tells me they expect fewer guests during that period. My absolute favorite time to go is the last week of October through the 2nd week of November--Great weather (excluding hurricanes), Food and Wine Festival, Halloween parties, and lower crowds.

Please note that MNSS Halloween Party always sells out the last couple of nights offered in October. But this is mostly due to locals and the rest of the parks are pretty comfortable.
