Another WDW vet and wondering what are the crowd levels like the second week in September???

Thanks in advance!

Crowd levels don't get much better (lower) than during that time, however parades/fireworks/shows are greatly reduced and HM will be going down for installation of the holiday overlay. Enjoy the empty parks!

Well, that's great! We will not be too worried about parades/fireworks/shows as much as the attractions. I guess we will probably just miss HM. :sad1: But that means we will have to do another trip, hunh???:cool1:

Be sure & read HydroGuy's tip threads (especially his DLR for WDW vets thread).

And you might want to include a Sunday (or Friday) in your stay so you can enjoy the Fireworks, Aladdin & a late night. Also be aware of EE/MM days since:

- during the week, DL will likely open later so the extra morning will come in handy.
- Since you're coming from the east coast, it will be VERY easy to get up early the first day or two you are there.

We went last year the 3rd week of Sept for a long weekend at it wasn't bad, even for a weekend. I got to see the halloween decorations for the first time. I am not sure when they start putting them up, but I guess you will probably get to see some of them the 2nd week. Although as others have mentioned, the shows will only be on the weekends, but knowing that ahead of time you can plan for it. Have a great trip!

I concur with the crowds being extremely low during that time.

Thanks!!

I have already started reading the tips. Thanks!!!

We will be there Sun through Fri. I know we will miss the shows but we are not that worried about that right now. We are just so excited to go!

Sunday evening is great. Definitely plan on the fireworks that day.

Aladdin Show (in DCA) is a "must do" & is Wed - Sun, so you'll be able to enjoy this as well.

You'll be amazed at many of the common rides (WDW/DLR) & how often the DLR rides are different or better. Also you'll love FL (with 4-5 more rides - some old school - to enjoy).

Just be prepared for a VERY small castle....I mean you won't see it from town square....but it's beautiful & the original.

Have fun planning a visit to Walt's Park. :thumbsup2

Wow, thank you for all of the valuable information. As you may know, planning is half of the fun!!:woohoo:

My husband and I were there this last Sept. during the second week. It was FABULOUS!! We never got a fastpass, rode all the rides we wanted to without much wait. Went in the little shops and explored. The line for Nemo was still very long then, but I'm clasutrophobic anyway. The only time we waited for any length of time was for ToT. It was about 20 minutes. I would definitely go again in Sept. It is still warm, we wore shorts. We were there during the week and didn't miss our kids or the crowds.
