Disneyland experts, I need your help (please :) ). One of my DH's work buddies is planning a Disneyland trip for the month of August. He wants to know what week is the slowest. DH and I went five years ago the last week in August and the crowd levels were not too bad. I know things change all the time and school schedules affect the crowds levels a ton, so I would like to give him some current information. I did a little searching and I couldn't find any information that was specific to August. Can someone give me their recent experience? My reputation as a Disney expert is on the line here :lmao: .

The end of August is much lighter than the beginning of August. Most of the schools in the area go back between the 10th and the 15th, so after that is good.

I agree the end of August isn't too crowded. Of course weekends are always crowded so if you can do during a weekday I would try that to avoid the crowds. Watch the schedule to make sure you get days with the fireworks, parades and fantasmic! I can't remember when they switch to just weekends only.

Either way we always say "A crowded Day at DL is better than any old regular day at home" Have a great time! :woohoo:

We have found the last two years that the 3rd and 4th week are about the same. Moderate to heavy depending on which day. Weekends are extremely busy. This year we are going the second week. We love August just for the weather alone.
