Crowd Levels for December

At the moment, we are contemplating about booking a trip for December 22 - December 28, 2008. We have never been in December, and we're wondering about the crowd levels. We usually go mid-late June. How are mid-late june crowds compared to december 22-28 crowds? Thank you!

It's my understanding crowds will be very very heavy. I would go earlier in December... I AM going earlier in December.

Christmas and 4th of July are the busiest times for disneyland. I would avoid them like the plague.

From what I understand Christmas blows 4th of July out of the water. It's wall to wall people, they close the park due to capacity quite often the week between Christmas and New Years. I personally would not go during this time. I just can't handle those kinds of crowds. Shoot, I'm scared of the crowds I'm going to face this weekend!

Have been at both times of the year. Have an AP so it doesn't really matter. Would go in June rather than December. December it can also be colder, rain and windy. Cancelled fireworks due to wind on NYE.

Yeah, a friend of mine went on NYE and she said it was a mad house. She still went on rides, but who knows how long she waited, probably very long. They also told her if she left to park hop to DCA, they probably won't let her back in DL since they were filled to capacity.
