going for trip number 9 next march:cool1:
staying offsite and maybe first trip to universal-still being discussed.

just wondering how crazy the crowds will be-at WDW and universal-we are always up early but obviously no EMH avail.

still v happy to be going though.:goodvibes

This is during spring break. Its going to be bad very very bad. I made that mistake one time and never will again.

oh my, that's what i was worried about.

will early starts make a difference?
happy to get park fix for a few hours-does not need to be all day.

making the journey from uk to usa a few hours each day for 2 weeks would still be worthwhile:lovestruc

Yes, the Parks will be extremely busy IF you're going from mid-March onwards due to Spring Break an early-ish Easter (8th April) next year. But it's still 'do-able' aslong as you plan, plan, plan! But you don't need to go overboard with all the planning. :)

Getting to the Parks for rope drop is a must as the first couple of hours will be the least busiest time of the day in the Parks.

How long are you going for? 'Cause if you're going for over a week you can easily spread each Park over a few days, so that means you can miss the crazy afternoons in the Parks & then go back in the evenings/nights for the Parades/Fireworks.

It's also a good idea to plan in advance what Park (Disney or non Disney) you're going to go too each day based on Park hours, Parades/Fireworks etc as that will make things easier for you. A few website's also list what (Disney) Park is best to go to on what day (Easywdw is one).

But you probably already know all of this since you've been 9 times before. ;)

It won't be crazy crowded til about the 4th of April ( Wednesday before Easter Sunday )
Have a basic Plan, you'll manage to have plenty of fun

invisable89 and partypa,

you have both made me feel a little better:)

we are headed over for 2 weeks-24th march-7th april.

so yes, as you say we don't have to go mad squeezing eveything in.

i realised crowds would be busy, but panicked when i saw 7am starts every day EMH for magic kingdom in week 2-maybe we shall just do all our MK visiting in first week:goodvibes

we do plan, but not crazy hardcore like some, so im sure we'll manage:cool1:

on a side note, are there easter decorations or special easter parades?

and yes, been 8 times to disney previously, 7 in july/aug once in freezing feb-so any ideas on the weather?

cheers all.
:dance3:

I've been at Spring Break a couple of times in the last few years. We arrive for opening and leave at about 1pm. We have never waited more than 20 minutes for any attraction. :thumbsup2

Weather SHOULD be lovely - high 20s. It'll get chilly in the evenings so you'll need a light sweater or two. That said, a few years ago it was so cold for the first few days that we were there that I had to go buy a hoodie...

Don't worry! You'll be fine! :) Aslong as you're aware that the crowd levels will be high then that's a good start! & Yes i'd plan on visiting MK the first week as Easter week is always crazy busy especially in MK.

& Take full advantage of FASTPASS - get them early as they'll run out for the attractions if you leave it too late. Also if you're planning on doing the Parks over a few days then maybe plan what parts/sections of the Park you're going to hit on what day as it'll save ALOT of time.

& Do check easyWDW's (or TouringPlans but you have to pay) Crowd Calendar's for March & April as that will REALLY help you! :thumbsup2
