Crowd levels during Gay Days?

I just found out that Gay Days has been moved to August, 2 days of which are during our trip. I'm NOT worried at all about GD beyond not knowing about expected crowd levels.

Are the crowd levels crazy on the planned park days? Should we switch to other parks or not worry?

Thanks!

I personally don't think it affects the crowds that much because it seems people hear the group with be at X park that day so they go to Y park and it all evens out.

that's kind of what i was thinking would happen.

thanks!

We've been the past 2 June's and found zero impact. I can't imagine that would change with a move to August.

I accidentally ended up at Epcot on the same day as Gay Day two years ago. It was a madhouse and much, much busier than our other Epcot day that trip. I would just make sure that you are at a different park than the one advertised for Gay Day. As an aside, we met some amazing people that day and had some lovely conversations, so all was not lost.

All you have to do is check their calendar and see what parks they are visiting on what days then go to different park.

Crowd level: Fabulous!
Did somebody say Fabulous?

I was there for GD's in 2017 and we didn't notice anything. We even went to the scheduled GD park of the day on a few occasions and still didn't notice anything. Maybe it varies from year to year?

The OP isn’t sure about the need to switch parks in August.

Discussion on the Gay and Lesbian board focuses on still visiting parks during the traditional dates in June rather than August. August crowds really shouldn’t be heavy at all to necessitate a park switch for @laurenpetro

Yeah - for the selected park that day I noticed a definite bump in the crowds. The rest of the parks were typical. If you just don't go to the selected park that day you'll be fine. You'll be mostly fine regardless - the larger crowds at Epcot aren't usually a problem. It's definitely noticeable at MK.
