Crowd Levels During Events?

I'm going to Orlando for two weeks from September 2nd-16th. I'll be staying in Disney, but am planning two or three days to go to US and IoA as I'm a big fan of the parks.

I know that Rock the Universe is on during the 11th-13th, and there's also some kind of dance competition in one of the US hotels around that time too. Although it doesn't start until 4pm, what kind of effect will this have on crowds during that weekend? And would the dance competition mean large crowds too?

I normally go in late August, and have never found the crowds too bad, but I just wondered if anyone has had any experience with the events. Thanks for any help you can give

easy answer.

go when rock the universe is not happening.
stay away from visiting on weekends.
don't go on the days of the dance competitions.
don't go labor day.

the parks will close early.
go during the week, avoid the above listed groups, be at the turnstile at 8:30 and get a lot done before noon.
crowds tend to arrive around 11:00 ish during the day.

september is known for low crowds.
