Crowd levels at MK (MVMCP vs EMH)

Does anyone know if MK would be less crowded on a Wednesday Night EMH or a Thursday night MVMCP?

I have not been to a MVMCP, but I have been to a Sunday night MNSSHP at the end of October and found the crowds to be lower than the Wed pm EMH a few weeks ago.

Anyone else have a guess as to which night would be less crowded: a resort-restricted EMH or the next days open to anyone MVMCP instead. Or would they pretty much be the same?

Hard to say. One is free and the other isn't. We're not even 100% sure we'll have EMH on Wednesday nights in December (of course, I'm hoping we do though).

I think we'll only know the answer to that once December comes around.

We were at MVMCP on Tues. Nov 30. last year and it was a ZOO!! We were at MK during the day and rode everything with almost no waits at all. Then the party at night, was so crowded. The rides were not too bad, but all the shows and parades were terrible!! You had to get a spot over an hour ahead of time for anything. Just was not fun.

We went to MVMCP on a thursday last year. It was great. The crowds were very manageable. It was the most fun. My best advice would be if you can to go to the second parade. They show the same parade twice in one night. The first one is about an hour after it starts. Everyone goes to that one. We rode so many things while the first parade was going on and we got our family picture done. We had tons of cookies and hot chocolate.

I haven't done an EMH yet but we're leaving on thursday so I will see how it goes.

We did MVMCP on Sunday, Dec 11th of this year and it was a ZOO too! I was told this was the least crowded time to do Disney and that part was true, however, the party was crazy. We never got any of the perks, no hot chocolate, no cookies, no family picture. It was way to crowded, we never left main street.

I would guess MVMCP.

MVMCP is a ticketed event and limited to a set number of people (I have heard anywhere from 7,000 to 10,000). EMH is available for free to anyone in a disney resort (a whole lot more people).

I went to MVMCP last December (12/9) and it was crowded at first for the parade, but as the night went on it was walk on (run on) every ride, no waits for any mountains. Watched the second parade right in front of the castle with no pushing or shoving.

I was at EMH last Friday night and it was a zoo (50 minutes for Space Mountain at 1:00 AM!) We rode a few rides and got outta dodge. But I cannot see the December EMH being nearly as bad.

Will they even have EMH during the MVMCP?

MVMCP also has a lot more fun stuff that the EMH do not have.
