Can anyone give me an idea on the crowd levels during December? We will be there on the 9th and stay until the 15th. Also we are planning on flying in to John Wayne and wanted to know how far it was from Disneyland?:)

Crowd levels are very low during that time of year. The large December/Christmas crowds don't start showing up until late in the 3rd week of the month. I'd predict wait times of 0-45 minutes MAX (most likely less than 45) for most rides. A lot of rides will be 5-10 minute waits.

The John Wayne Airport isn't that far from DLR. Maybe 15 miles or so. Shouldn't take you very long to get to the resort.

Speaking of airports you might ant to look at the long beach airport also it is only 2 miles longer the san ana.

I was there in dec 8-12 and weekend was busy weekdays were not as bad but it was busier then I thought it would be.

It shouldn't be that busy. Usually our family goes that week or the week after to see all the Christmas decorations and it's not that bad. But you should get to the park right when it opens and do everything you want cause as the evening comes the locals come out and it gets busy. Hope you have a fun trip!!! It's my favorite time of the year to go!!

John Wayne is fairly close, but I agree with bluegrizzlies1. Long Beach might be a good alternative if you're searching for good fares. They're about the same distance, and I always have good luck finding fares out of Long Beach (Jet Blue!).
