I will be arriving at DL on Saturday 4/30/16 and leaving on 5/07/16. The crowd calendars show that Sunday being packed because of Dapper Day and the rest of the week being ok. I know the half-marathon starts the next week. Do you guys agree with the crowd calendars of do you have a different opinion on what the crowds may be like that week?

I would look at multiple crowd calendars to get a sense of the range of predications. The most commonly mentioned ones are IsItPacked, RMH Travel, and Touring Plans. I would guess that the weekends will be busy because weekends are always busy and it is the last weekend of DCA's F&W Festival, Spring Dapper Days, and Bats Day in the Park. Monday and Tuesday will probably be the "quietest" days in the park (although, these days it's hard to say if the park is ever really quiet). Then I would expect to see crowds start to increase on Wed ahead of the Marathon weekend; officially the marathon activities starts on Thursday, which also happens to be Cinco de Mayo.

Fridays-Mondays are always busy at DL! Add marathons, holidays, etc to that and it's worse. Tues-Thurs seem to be the quietest in the off season, if there is even an off season anymore.

With all of that going on I'd expect it to be busy the entire week quite honestly. People do not magically disappear on Monday morning nor do they only show up right as an event (such as a Marathon) begins. We were there a few weeks ago when the crowd predictions where "ghost town" and twos and threes and it was busy. As many have reported here, Disneyland is much busier than it used to be overall and it's always been busy on weekends and when events such as Marathons are being held. The crowd calendars do not appear to have caught up, or at least have not adjusted their predictions for this year based on how far off they are currently being. I'd suggest getting there well before park opening and developing a solid fast pass strategy so you are prepared for crowds.
