Crowd level mid March?

How crowded might it be around March 8th-20th. Is this the heavy part of spring break (spring break is not until April in the N. East) for some. Might have a chance to visit for a few days during a business trip. Looking at the weekend of the 13th.

We are going Mar. 14th for spring break. The crowds will be large but managable. In 2002 we went the 2nd week of March and really didn't have any problems. We use the fastpass system and hit some of the bigger rides early. The only area that always seems to get really backed up is fantasyland in MK. It doesn't take long to get 40-60 min waits.

The parks were open a little later than you would see in Feb. or May so that gives you a little more time.

The weather can be a little unpredictable highs can range from low 60's to high 80's and one day the low got down to mid 40's.

We'll be there 3/8-3/13. I notice that MK hours are very short that week, and longer the next. I assume thsi means Disney is expecting significnatly lower crowds the week of 3/8-3/13.

Do they ever change hours once they are posted?

I noticed also that the hours at the parks are shorter the 2nd week of March vs. the 3rd week of March. Are these the same hours they have had (during the 2nd week) in years past?

I guess I'm worried that it will be really busy that 2nd week, yet the park hours are not extended.

Any thoughts???

We first went during our honeymoon in mid March 1999. Since then, we have been a few times the week of our anniversary (March 13). It is usually not too hot, and the crowds, although not as light as I have heard they are in Jan, parts of Feb, and Sept, are very manageable. We have been twice in mid Oct, and I found there to not be mich difference in crowd levels. You can check historical weather to see how that's been in the past few years, but I would think Oct would be a bit warmer than March. There's not much going on in the world that month that I recall, but I think there are outlet tent sales (yipee!) that month. Hope you decide to take the opportunity and go!
